Welcome to Hot Sword Summer 2025!

Come join us for a sizzling summer tournament filled with longsword, rapier, and singlestick matches. Whether you're a seasoned fencer or just starting out, this event is perfect for you!

Time: Doors expected to open around 8:00am with tournaments ending around 6:00pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday.

Proposed Schedule (subject to change):

Saturday-

8:00 AM - Doors open, staff arrival, Check in and Gear Check Begin
9:15 AM - Rapier Tournament Starts. Please be checked in and ready to fence by this time!
1:00 PM - Pizza available for purchase and gear check re-opens for Singlestick.
2:00 PM - Singlestick Tournament begins. Please be checked in and ready to fence by this time!
5:30 PM - Singlestick Tournament ends 
 
Sunday-
8:00 AM - Doors open, staff arrival, Check in and Gear Check Begin
9:15 AM - Both Longsword Tournaments Start. Please be checked in and ready to fence by this time!
2:00 PM - Longsword Tournaments Conclude
2:30 PM - Award Ceremonies Finished

Location: Hal Brady Recreation Complex

Activities: Beginner Synthetic Longsword, Open Steel Longsword, Open Rapier w/optional sidarm, Open Singlestick

As a reminder - the Beginner Longsword and Open Longsword tournaments are separate, but Fencers that qualify for both may only compete in one or the other. To qualify for the Beginner Longsword tournament, the fencer must have no more than a year of HEMA experience with longsword at the day of the tournament. Society of Historical fencing will provide synthetic longswords for ONLY the Beginners Tournament on an as needed basis.
